The outbound access from pc applications is limited because iSeries 400 is communicating with your PCs on one line, and with the ISP on another. You must do a lot of routing configuration on iSeries 400, depend on static IP addresses with hosts you are accessing (not likely, unless you have a private intranet), and configure an additional routing hop on every host you are accessing. The solution to this problem is to a deploy router based product(s).
